Problem Note 41051: A SAS process might continue to run on the workspace server after SAS® Enterprise Miner(tm) closes

DetailsAboutRate It

When closing a SAS Enterprise Miner project, a SAS process might incorrectly continue to run on the workspace-server. The process continues to run even after the project has completed and the SAS Enterprise Miner session has been closed. The list of processes running on the server will show that a SAS process continues to run.

A fix for this issue was released in SAS Enterprise Miner 6.1 M3. To determine whether you have SAS Enterprise Miner 6.1 M3 installed, follow these steps:

  1. Log on to the SAS Enterprise Miner Client.

Note:You need to make sure that you are testing the server version of SAS Enterprise Miner. To test this, go to http://servername:6401 (default port listed) and launch the SAS Enterprise Miner client.

  2. Go to Help ► About. The window should show the version of SAS Enterprise Miner that is installed. In this example, SAS Enterprise 6.1_M3 is installed.

If you don't have SAS Enterprise Miner 6.1 M3 installed, then you will need to place an order for the third maintenance release for SAS 9.2. See http://support.sas.com/software/maintenance/index.html for more information. At the bottom of that link, there is a section labeled "Request a Maintenance Release".
